Just as the opening sequence starts out in a reduced and monochromatic style referencing the blue color of Radium, the element that was discovered by Marie and Pierre Curie in 1898 the movie had to finish in the same beautiful blue. The shot material of ”Radium Dance“ of Loïe Fuller choreographed & performed by Carola Diem, was initially meant to be used for a collage sequence within the movie nd was later cut out. I decided to use it and turn it into something much more abstract, it now provides a perfect atmosphere for the film to fade out.
